Amanda Mudege-Fleischer

Having grown up in Zimbabwe, Amanda settled in Australia for her adulthood. She has a styling business "I Am Whom I Am Styling" and trying to navigate her nine-to-five job and also a successful styling business has been no mean feat!Adding on top of that is “It's Layered Podcast" which she co-hosts with Rumbi, her long-time friend. A podcast that covers the many layered topics of life such as getting married in line with tradition ('roora') or the grief and heartbreak one has when living far from home or navigating the murky world of being a dual-citizen (is it Australian-Zimbabwean or Zimbabwean-Australian?), the podcast has also allowed Amanda to share her experiences as a black Zimbabwean woman living in the diaspora through all of her adult life.
And now also being in an intercultural and interracial marriage raising a biracial son, with all the challenges that can bring!
